چکیده

Based on the hypothesis that reclaimed water for irrigating is the cardinal source of heavy metals pollution in soil, and the heavy metals leave from soil mainly by plant harvest, the article constructs a differential equation and simulates the cumulation of Cd in wheat soil of southeast suburb in Beijing based on simulink of matlab. With the data relative Cd mass proportion in soil as predictor parameter in stems and leaves as response ones, the fitting curves are produced respectively. The curves show that the amount of Cd leave from soil is very small compared with the amount entering into soil via irrigation water. But in the condition of lower concentration in soil, the proportion of Cd left from soil is bigger relatively. The prediction shows that the content of Cd will exceed the national standard of China after 40 years in the condition of the content of Cd in reclaimed water with 10mg m and concentration in soil with 0.1333mg kg, but it should be 100 years if the concentration of Cd in reclaimed water for irrigation reduced to 5mg m.

Ecological risks of polycyclic musk in soils irrigated with reclaimed municipal wastewater.

HHCB (1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-4,6,6,7,8-hexamethylcyclopenta-c-2-benzopyrane) and AHTN (7-acetyl-1,1,3,4,4,6-hexamethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene) are found in reclaimed municipal wastewater. They may accumulate in soils receiving long-term application of reclaimed water thus adversely impact the soil biota. We evaluated the extent of their accumulation in receiving soils using HYDRUS-1D base...

Human Exposure to Wastewater-Derived Pharmaceuticals in Fresh Produce: A Randomized Controlled Trial Focusing on Carbamazepine.

Fresh water scarcity has led to increased use of reclaimed wastewater as an alternative and reliable source for crop irrigation. Beyond microbiological safety, concerns have been raised regarding contamination of reclaimed wastewater by xenobiotics including pharmaceuticals. This study focuses on carbamazepine, an anticonvulsant drug which is ubiquitously detected in reclaimed wastewater, highl...

Uptake of carbamazepine by cucumber plants--a case study related to irrigation with reclaimed wastewater.

Reclaimed wastewater is an important source of irrigation in semiarid and arid zones. Here we report data on carbamazepine (CBZ) uptake by cucumber plants in hydroponic culture and greenhouse experiments using different soil types irrigated with fresh water or reclaimed wastewater. Data obtained from the hydroponic culture experiments suggest that CBZ is mainly translocated by water mass flow, ...

Evaluation of the Ecological Risk Indicators of Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn and Ni in the Irrigated Areas with the Treated Wastewater

The present study was conducted to evaluate the ecological risk indices of Zn, Cu, Cd, Pb and Ni in the soils from Urmia region (Ghahramanloo village), as irrigated with treated wastewater. Accordingly, six different soil sites (five soil sites under wastewater irrigation and one soil site under well water irrigation as the control) were selected and sampled (AP horizon, 0-30 cm depth). Soil sa...

Study on the Effects of Irrigation with Reclaimed Water on the Content and Distribution of Heavy Metals in Soil.

Reclaimed water is an important resource for irrigation, and exploration in making full use of it is an important way to alleviate water shortage. This paper analyzes the effects of irrigation with reclaimed water through field trials on the content and distribution of heavy metals in both tomatoes and the soil. By exploring the effects of reclaimed water after secondary treatment on the conten...
